to The Moth High School GrandSLAM II: ON THE VERGE
The Moth High School StorySLAM, The Moth's newest education program, brings the thrill of personal storytelling to high schools across New York City. Coached and supported by Moth instructors, students learn to craft compelling narratives, practice performance techniques, and connect as a team. After intensive preparation, students share their stories onstage in front of their peers at a StorySLAM event. The StorySLAM offers a safe space for students to build confidence and share their experiences, and promotes a school culture of honesty, empathy, and authentic voice.
Now, join us for the biannual city-wide GrandSLAM Invitational, featuring all-star storytellers from our participating schools. Nine student storytellers, three teams of judges, one winner! Stories from the verge: close calls and high emotions. Teetering on the tightrope, hurdling over obstacles, or facing the brink of new beginnings.
