1. This weekend, complete the reading we started today in class: 
The Gingerbread Person. As you read, consider where you would place yourself on the continua and jot down ideas that you will want to remember and discuss in class on Monday.

Homework:

1. This weekend, write a well-developed paragraph in which you use ideas from both Passage I (the autobiography excerpt) and Passage II (the poem) to establish a controlling idea about traditions. Develop your controlling idea using specific examples and details from both Passage I and Passage II.
