Use study hall to finish your synthesis essay. Please do not spend full paragraphs on counterclaims. These are short essays, and while it makes sense to include a counterclaim as a sentence or clause, it should not be an entire paragraph, especially at the beginning of your essay.

Grading Criteria:
- Clear thesis that addresses the issue
- Clear and logical topic sentences that support the thesis
- Two pieces of evidence each body paragraph
- Use of sentence stems to integrate discussion of multiple texts
