Read Carrie to the middle of p.58.
To keep track of the shifting perspectives and time:
Ask yourself with each shift: Who is speaking now? How do I know? Keep track of the different perspectives in your notes
*Please be aware that their are some racist characters in this section of the novel. We will discuss this racism tomorrow in class.

1. If necessary, revise your argument thesis. If you are struggling try the TP3R formula: Topic, position, and three reasons.
2. Unless you turned it in today, write an outline with your thesis, reasons, and at least one strong example for each reason. Keep class content in mind when thinking of examples.
