Homework, Wednesday, April 13

-Seniors-

Read to page 75 in Carrie. As you read, choose a couple of things that interest you to track:
          -Bystander behavior and examples of people who speak or act out of the norm
          -Colors: red, white, black and blue
          -Patterns of imagery or behavior
          -Conformity

We will have a quiz and writing day tomorrow. Students who are on track will attend FILM FEST FRIDAY!


AP Language
-Put all of the pieces of your argument essay that we worked on this week together. Type it up and print it out before class on Friday.

-Requirements-
-Clearly stated thesis statement that takes a position and suggests the reasoning you will use to prove your claim
-Logical reasoning that includes PEEPS: Political, Practical, Economic, Ethical, Psychological, Social implications
-Clear and concrete examples with valid explanations
-Counterclaim
-Conclusion

*TIPS
Remember that you are writing for an audience. The point is not for you to "think out" your ideas but to make them clear to a reader. Write it with someone you want to impress in mind. This is your opportunity to use ethos, pathos, logos to appeal to your audience.
