In chapter two, she focuses on another topic that is often silenced: death. In this chapter, I want you to pay close attention to narrative and description: what stories about her father does she include? What details about his life story does she fill in?

1. How does Bechdel use allusions to the Adam's family deepen readers' understanding of Alison and her situation?
