1. Read Chapter Two of They Say, I Say and complete the exercises at the end.
2. Read over the standard views on America's economics that we discussed in class: Click Here Then, read Barbara Ehrenreich's essay "The (Futile) Pursuit of the American Dream" on pg. 260 of They Say, I Say. Be ready to apply the concepts and templates from chapter 2 to the essay in class tomorrow.
Do the Right Thing
12AB - Based on the two sentence summary of the story you wrote today in class, sketch out what will happen in the three scenes of the story (beginning, middle, and end). Be ready to start drafting one of the scenes in class tomorrow.
12CD - Watch a music video of your choosing and apply the socioeconomic lens. Consider how the video you choose compares and contrasts to T. Swift's "Blank Space."
11CD - Use one of the topic sentences you developed in class and write a full analytic paragraph that meets all of the criteria on the analytic paragraph checklist. Use the blog resources to check your work.
