Weekend 3/27-3/30

No formal homework this weekend. Just work on your exhibitions.

11CD - Make sure your quizzes from our most recent unit are typed onto a google doc BY TUESDAY along with a claim about how the economic system impacts the individual in your book club novel/memoir.

Cover Page has:
o  Essential question
o  Your name
o  Your sponsor’s name
o  Rubric title

Appropriate Essential Question:
o  Identifies major content or theme from class
o  Applies content or theme within specific context

Thesis Statement:
o  Addresses essential question
o  Is easy to recognize (clearly stated, i.e.,  when you read it you easily know this is the thesis)
o  States a clear position (humanities)
o  Refers to specific content required by EQ (math/science)

Evidence:
o  Included evidence is relevant to topic
o  Connects specific evidence to major arguments (humanities) / major content (math/science)
o  Connects major arguments/content to thesis
o  Sources are credible and varied (no Wikipedia, etc.)
o  Specific evidence & quotes are internally cited

Communication:
o  Adheres to standard grammatical rules of formal writing
o  Logical flow of ideas
o  Adheres to MLA/APA format for internal citations & bibliography



 Red Flag           
Papers that miss any 5 of the 10 criteria under EQThesis, and Evidence will receive a red flag check in the box to the left. These papers are in serious jeopardy. See your sponsor immediately.
