Do the Right Thing -
1. Write an analytic paragraph on google docs using the topic sentences and evidence you collected today in class. Be sure to use at least two pieces of evidence and two sentence stems in your analysis: Click here to access them.
2. Put the paragraph in your google docs English folder and share it with me at jcandlin@sof.edu.
3. Read Scene Three of A Streetcar Named Desire, annotating for STEAL. There will be a quiz on Acts 1-3 on Wednesday.
AP Language and Composition - Please read announcement AND homework detailed below.
Announcement
The first AP Saturday Session is this week at The Museum School. Remember that you are required to attend two, but I will give extra credit for attending additional sessions. I strongly recommend attending this session.
Homework
1. If you are not caught up on the reading, make sure to be caught up on chapters 1-6 by Wednesday. There might be a quiz.
2. Based on your "do now" today, type a one page response on google docs about what you find most intriguing about Frederick Douglass's autobiography. What makes him a good writer? Which sentences and images do you find most compelling and why? Use at least three pieces of evidence from the text. Your response may be shared with the class, so keep your audience in mind. Share the google doc with me at jcandlin@sof.edu by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 11.
TIP: Keep in mind that the arguments we developed together last week were only for chapter one. You should be noting new arguments that Douglass makes throughout the narrative.
