Amazing Opportunity! (Homework Assignment is in previous post)

Guys, today Ms. G sent me an invite to a show that we will be able to attend for free next Wednesday. I would like to take anyone interested and will award extra credit for attending a pre-show informational session and the show next Wednesday from 2:00-4:30. This is a world class event. Tickets are 130.00 each, but we have been invited to attend the dress rehearsal for free. Your participation will include attending the educational session on Friday at 2:15 and the show next Wednesday. We will leave school at 1:00. Please email me ASAP if you are interested. If more students want to come than tickets are available, I will give them to the first students who get in touch with me. Here is the info:

The piece incorporates theater, opera and visual art.  Since this production might be considered to be director Robert Wilson’s “portrait” of Marina Abramovic, we pose this question to participating students:  if you were to have an artist tell your life story – who would you select and in what art form might your story be told?

Please note:  this production contains nudity and adult themes.

Additional information about the show in included below, for your reference.
Description: Description: The Life and Death of Marina Abramović

“The collaboration of music, light, sound, text and design is exceptional … simply beautiful.”
– The Guardian (London)
At the intersection of theater, opera and visual art, director Robert Wilson’s reimagining of performance artist Marina Abramović’s extraordinary life and work begins with her difficult childhood in former Yugoslavia, and chronicles her journey to the present day. Abramović, who plays herself as well as her imposing mother, is joined by world-renowned actor Willem Dafoe and singer Antony, performing original music and songs created for this ‘quasi opera.’
Premiered at the Manchester International Festival in 2011, The Life and Death of Marina Abramović has played to sold-out audiences and rave reviews in Madrid, Basel, Antwerp and Amsterdam. For the Armory, Wilson is creating a new staging that uses the full sweep of the Wade Thompson Drill Hall to draw the audience in as though they are part of the story.
U.S. Premiere
Conceived and directed by Robert Wilson
With Marina Abramović, Antony, and Willem Dafoe
