Use your reflection to revise your paper. It's due Friday at 8:35 am via email or google docs to jcandlin@sof.edu . Students who made posters need to turn them in to my room by 8:50 am. All documents must have your first and last name in the title. Format: 12 point font, Times New Roman, double-spaced. SEE PREVIOUS BLOG POST FOR CHECKLIST OF WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR PAPER.
Final Tips:
1. See the new document of sample conclusions for comparative essays under "Essay Resources"
2. Remember to avoid passive voice. Active voice is more direct and powerful than passive voice
EXAMPLE:
Active (good): The author used alliteration to emphasize his point.
Passive (bad): Alliteration was used by the author to emphasize his point.
3. Proofread for run-on sentences. Fix run-ons by using periods to separate your ideas, FANBOYS, or semicolons. For a review, see the video on the"Grammar and Mechanics" page of this blog.Winter Break Extra Credit Work Extended Deadline and Winter Break Extra Credit
