Tonight, write a 2-3 page story in your notebook about a meaningful food, meal, your embarrassing family or some combination of those subjects. Use "Fish Cheeks" and "Sixty-Nine Cents" as inspiration and aim to include the following FOUR of the following techniques: Figurative language (simile, metaphor, personification, alliteration, hyperbole, understatement); juxtaposition, characterization (STEAL), and imagery.
