On the class blog, write a brief response comparing the two renditions of the "Star-Spangled Banner" that we viewed today in class. They can be found easily on youtube. Consider how each performance reaffirms, challenges or complicates the description of America in the original lyrics we read in class today. Again, be sure to build on each other's ideas, use evidence from the texts and explain your response. Tomorrow, I want you to think of the filmmaker's tone towards America in the film "Loving." Remember to draft your blog post in a google or word doc in order to avoid any technical issues.
