Homework, Jan. 17

1. Tonight, write the concluding scene of your creative writing piece. Use the work you did today to make the ending satisfying for the reader. In order to use your mentor text, study the example you liked best by:
-Identifying the transition from the climax to the conclusion
-Try a similar transition in your own work before drafting the conclusion
-Keep the following types of conclusions in mind:
  • There is explicit or implicit character change
  • There is a shift in perspective
  • There is a type of resolution
  • The writer illuminates an issue
  • There is a moral or lesson

2. Share your document with Ms. Murphy: lmurphy.sof@gmail.com and me: jessica.candlin@gmail.com
