-Seniors-
Come in tomorrow with four copies of your creative writing piece. Remember, it will be 20% off of your grade if you do not four copies printed by the beginning of class. Please note that my printer is not currently working, so you will need to print in the conference room in the morning (likely to be busy). You may also come to Ms. Murphy's office during advisory to print. As you work on it tonight, aim for cohesion and strengthening the narrative voice. Remember:

  • Small, specific detail
  • Authentic Dialogue
  • Varied sentences
  • Imagery
  • Names of places, people etc.
  • Repetition
TIP! Your mentor text is your best teacher. Use it to figure out the issues you are grappling with: how to transition to a new scene, how to include more specific details etc.

-AP Language -
1.) Finish Ch. 10 of F.D. and the bingo board I passed out in class today.
2.) By tonight at 10:00, respond to the prompt regarding Douglass's rebellion on the AP class blog: http://aplanguagepower.blogspot.com/
3.) Tomorrow during class, you will have a rhetorical analysis essay. If you receive a score of six or above, it will help your overall WRITING grade.
