AP Language 

1. Reread the sources of monolingualism tonight, including those below that were not included in packet. The strongest synthesis essays do not pull one or two lines from a source, but understand each source's meaning as a whole, including its strengths and weaknesses. As you read, consider: Which sources are most credible and why? Note too that it is fitting and appropriate to bring your outside knowledge and experience to the sources. Consider yourself a full member of the conversation.

2. When you come in tomorrow, be prepared for a quiz in which you explain the main argument of each source and the type of evidence it uses. 

3. Read over your thesis statements here as well as a couple I added: Monolingualism Class Thesis Statements. Choose the three strongest thesis statements from the list and be prepared to discuss why they are the strongest and clearest.
