Read up to p. 25 in Carrie. What kind of place is Chamberlain, Maine? Collect four quotes that convey the setting and its atmosphere.

AP Language 

Due tomorrow: An outline for an essay on whether monolingual English speakers are at a disadvantage that includes a thesis statement and two arguments and one full paragraph. You can pull from your first draft or rewrite.

Make sure to include: 

1. Thesis statement. The bank of thesis statements can be found here: Thesis Statements 
2. At least TWO arguments, written in full sentences. These would be the topic sentences for two paragraphs. Neither can be about economic/business advantages.
