Read to p. 131 of Carrie. As you read, continue to collect evidence of how King portrays the setting and the ways it affects the various characters in the novel. Be ready for a reading check on Monday.
AP Language
1. This weekend, read and annotate Ch. 1 of your test-prep book which provides an overview of the exam and how it is scored.
2. Read and complete the activities in Ch. 6 and Ch. 7: An Introduction to the Argumentative Essay and Introduction to the Synthesis Essay. Complete the activities as instructed.
3. After you read the two chapters, make yourself a study tool that summarizes the differences between the synthesis and argument essays, along with tips to keep in mind.
