First, answer the following questions as an extension of today's discussion:
-What significant issue(s) are these sources responding to?
-Why is it significant and to whom?
-What are the stakes? (How can society benefit or decline as a result of the action or inaction implied by the prompt?)
Then, write an outline for your synthesis essay. You will need to skim the sources again with your stance in mind. The prompt is in your folder along with the sample of a high-level synthesis. Use those resources to make sure you are addressing the prompt completely in your thesis statement and developing arguments. You can access the summaries you developed in class here: Click Here
Outline requirements:
- Thesis statement that addresses the prompt
- Two clearly stated arguments with three pieces of evidence each OR three clearly stated arguments with two pieces of evidence each
