2.) Read and annotate the first 10 pages of your book (You can write in them!) Make sure you are paying attention to information that answers the following questions (no need to answer, just mark in the book). Be ready for a reading check when you get to class on Monday.
- Who is this narrator and what do you find out about him/her right away? What precise adjectives describe her/his traits?
- Which other characters are introduced in the first pages? What is unique and complex about each them?
- What kind of setting this? Consider both the physical and the psychological setting?
- What about this novel seems "mythic" so far?
