1. Read over the notes you took on the two interviews we watched together last week in class - Margaret Atwood and Jeanette Winterson. Then, consider the different perspectives presented in the poems and the themes of the myths you learned about so far. Finally: write two "essential questions" that you are interested in exploring in this unit.
Examples of "essential questions" for the horror and gothic unit I teach seniors: How do horror and gothic stories reflect the concerns of a given era? OR Why do writers of horror feature supernatural elements in their stories?
