Do the Right Thing -
1. Interview an adult about their conceptions of good and evil.
Ask at least four questions and record the answers in your notebook. Here are some sample questions we developed together in class:
-How do you define good and evil?
-How do you see good and evil in today's world?
-Do you believe that people are born innately good or evil or can they becomes one way or the other?
-Describe a time you did something good or evil.
-Where do your beliefs about good and evil come from?
2. Buy or borrow the novel Flight by Sherman Alexie by Wednesday, September, 17.

1. Read the two op-eds distributed in class, "Critique From an Obama Fan" by Nicholas Kristof and "The Cost of War" by Charles M. Blow. Annotate using the annotation guide distributed yesterday: annotation link
2. We will review the rhetorical situation and triangle on Monday.
