2. Today in class we read Anne Sexton's powerful poem about the presence of evil in our lives, "The Evil Seekers" .
Task: Tonight, write an analytic paragraph that supports one of the following interpretations (Seniors, write about the theme that YOU DID not investigate in class). You may elaborate or revise one of the themes if you feel so inclined:
A. Ultimately, Sexton suggests that experiencing evil is a necessary part of life.
B. Ultimately, Sexton implies that nature is the opposite of evil.
Expectations:
Seniors, use the analytic paragraph checklist to make sure you include all of the necessary components: check list
Juniors, include direct evidence from the text and explain your evidence.
AP Language and Composition
We have read and debated some of the pros and cons of expanding military expansion against ISIS. Write a one page single-spaced or two-page double-spaced essay in which you argue for or against the expansion. Cite at least three of the sources we read (or from your own research) to support your claim. DO NOT GO OVER THE PAGE LIMIT. Time yourself and try to write for no longer than 60 minutes.
