Homework - All Classes

1. Read the article about technology you chose in class. Annotate it, considering the central argument of the article and the strength of the supporting evidence.

2. IF you didn't do so in class, complete the graphic organizer about your technology use.

3. If you have not read Feed yet, or need a refresher, read it over the weekend. I especially recommend reading the following sections:

In preparation for discussion, read or re-read the following chapters of Feed:
-The opening epigraph/quotation
-"your face is not an organ" (Part I)
-"the moon is in the house of boring" (Part I)
-"flat hope" (Part III)
-"our duty to the party" (Part III)
-"54.1%" (Part IV)
-"4.6%" (last chapter, Part IV )

I will take summer assignments until Monday. If you turn it in tomorrow, you will receive a 90% for completion, if you turn it in on Monday, it will be an 80%. Here is the assignment:

1. Read the novel Feed by M.T. Anderson

2. Writing Assignment: Feed can be read as a criticism of the impact of
technology in our lives. Based on your reading of the novel, what are
some of the negative consequences of our dependence on technology?
Write a two-page response in which you discuss how Anderson conveys
his criticism of our relationship with technology
