Seniors - Be ready for a quiz tomorrow in which you will discuss several of the questions below about chapter 7.

• The boys turn thirteen and their lives change. How does Miller describe this change in the first pages of the chapter? 
• Note the emotional high points of the chapter: Are any Patroclus's emotions like a runaway train? How do you know? What about Achilles? 
• What are the consequences of the main event in the chapter and what predictions can you make for the rest of the novel?

AP Language 

1. Read chapter 1 of Fun Home. If you sped through it, read it again.
2. Research the myth of Icarus and Daedalus, including the melting wings, the labyrinth, and the white bull. You can work with a partner and trade info if you want. Just don't take advantage of each other's hard work:)
3. Make a list of unfamiliar or new vocab (at least five). Find out the meaning of the words and write each one in a sentence.
4. Tomorrow I will collect notebooks from one person at each table. I will be checking assignments from the last couple of weeks and getting information about how you're processing skills and content.
