1.) Tonight, synthesize the evidence you found in class into a complete paragraph about what the comparison reveals about the character or a theme of the novel. You can find the transitions and a few sentence starters here: Transitions
2.) Read chapters 10-11. On Friday, we will have a quiz and discussion on Chapters up to 12.

1. Tonight, do some work in your notebook to make it a more effective and efficient tool of learning: annotate and highlight material, such as key terms or examples, that you can use in lessons and for homework. Paste or tape handouts into your notebook (think about where they will be easiest to use -perhaps in the back, like an index?). I have tape, lots of markers and colored pens, glue sticks, and scissors if you want to come by during lunch for a craft party.
2. Prepare for discussion of chapters 1-2 of Fun Home tomorrow; you may want to choose panels that have a strong effect on you. Then, consider what you will want to say when given the chance to share with the class what you think of the work so far.
