-Seniors-

Choose an act that you want to explain from current events, history, literature or your life. Think: Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton's nomination for President, Kim Kardashian's hold up, your parents' marriage or divorce, 9/11. Then, use Burke's Pentad (in the texts and links tab) to analyze it. Write more than a sentence and be specific. What conclusions does this help you draw about that event's causes?

-AP Language-

1. Finish the paragraph we started in class today using the paragraph progression to work towards the next level. That resource and the speeches can be found in the AP Language tab of this blog.

2. Do a little research on the following speeches: Richard Nixon, "Checkers" and Barack Obama, "A More Perfect Union"
                  Guiding questions:
                          1. Who is this guy?
                          2. What was the occasion of this speech?
                          3. What were some significant historical events that took place in the US around the time of this speech?
