Do the Right Thing

Read the provocative and excellent short story, "Ask Me If I Care," by Jennifer Egan.

As you read, annotate with two things in mind: 

1.) Character development: Who is Rhea at the beginning of the story and how does she change? Which details demonstrate that change? 

Be prepared to write a well developed paragraph that discusses how Egan depicts the narrator in the short story using the language of STEAL and literary analysis to communicate your ideas.

2.) How does the story compare and contrast to the other stories we've read in terms of its presentations of male and female characters?
