Paper due, printed BEFORE class tomorrow but here is the rubric: Rubric. USE THESE RESOURCES: Sentence Stems for AnalysisTopic Sentences,  Claim Progression, and Sample Body Paragraph. You can find additional resources for introductions on the reading and writing resources page.

Juniors, make sure you have two color coded body paragraphs finished before class tomorrow. Click here for the example: Body Paragraph

AP Language:

1. Annotate the Richard Wright essay for ethos, pathos, logos, tone (and shifts in tone), and author's purpose. How does the essay answer the EQ's distributed today. For example, how does Wright use his childhood to convey a theme about society and identity?

2. Over the weekend, your homework will be to define and find examples for all of the terms I distributed in class today on the unit overview. You may want to get started on it tonight: Unit Overview

3. You will need to but a copy of They Say, I Say, but we won't be using it until after Thanksgiving.
