2.) Read Ch. 3 of The Great Gatsby and be ready for a quiz on Monday.

3.) As you are reading, consider how Fitzgerald appeals to pathos. In other words, how do the characters elicit your sympathy, arouse your suspicion, or evoke antipathy (a strong feeling of dislike or repulsion)? Find three passages to discuss.
