Weekend Homework,

- Seniors -
No official homework, but here are some recommendations of films to watch for our horror unit that Jordon Peele mentioned as inspiring Get Out: Rosemary's Baby, The Stepford Wives, Silence of the Lambs.

“The best and scariest monsters in the world are human beings and what we are capable of especially when we get together. I’ve been working on these premises about these different social demons, these innately human monsters that are woven into the fabric of how we think and how we interact."

- AP Language -

1. You will have a somewhat more substantial quiz on the last two chapters of The Great Gatsby. Make sure you know what happens and how the events are described.

2. Graded discussion on those chapters after quiz.  To get an "A," come prepared with an interpretation and multiple examples/evidence to back it up. Write them down with page numbers, so that you don't have to "find" your evidence on the spot.
*Here are some other tips to get an "A" in discussion: multiple examples, definitions, connections to research, concepts we discussed in the class, AP essays (ownership and the sense of self is particularly fitting).
