1. Review the requirements of the symbol project here: Symbol Project Description. Then, do all of the research on your object tonight: definition, characteristics (8), synonyms (3) , idioms (2), connotations, symbolism. You can use things you find online but need to keep track of where you find your info.

2. Bring in materials that I may not have. I'll have colored papers, some markers (bring your own if you have some), scissors, some magazines, glue, and colored paper.

Read Ch. 7 tonight. If you want a higher score on your discussion, write what you would say if you had more time, but be sure not to repeat points. You will be more likely to receive a 100 if you: build off other points that came up in discussion and integrate information from Ch. 7.

Tomorrow you will have a very brief lesson and an on-demand about the relationship between ownership and sense of self. Note, that this argument essay will be scored with a slight curve and put in the gradebook. One way that you can prepare is by coming up with a list of synonyms for "ownership" and "sense of self" and considering the relationship between the two.
